Involvement

“Therefore, let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity…” (Heb. 6:1).  The Involvement Ministry exists to glorify God by helping everyone at NWCC become more involved in the life of the Church through a three step discipleship process (In, Up, Out).  A series of discipleship classes also coincide with this process called Discovery 101, 201, and 301.

IN

We want to invite people to come IN and give NWCC a try, and when they arrive here we want them to feel welcomed and wanted.

UP

Once they become a part of our church family, we want them to grow UP in their faith, knowledge, and service to God.  We try to connect people to opportunities to grow in their relationships with others through FISH groups and N2 groups, to grow in their faith and knowledge of God through ABF classes and Forum electives, and to grow in their service to God and others through our many Ministry Teams.

OUT

And finally, we want to send members OUT as leaders and evangelists capable of bringing outsiders IN, and so continuing the discipleship process in others.  We want to challenge our members to step up as leaders within the Church, their family, and their community.

Are you tired of being a spectator when it comes to church?  Are you no longer content with a one-hour-a-week Christianity?  Are you looking for ways to take the next step and get more involved at NWCC?  Here are some ideas to help you on your way.

Involvement Opportunities:

FISH groups—FISH stands for Fellowship In Someone’s Home and these groups consist of 8-15 families and/or singles that meet in various homes during the week for fellowship, food, prayer, and Bible study in a more intimate setting.

N2 groups—Our N2 group are all about what you’re into, whether it’s motorcycles, softball, an AA group, or our Grief Share ministry.  New groups form often so if you have an interest, then there’s probably an N2 group for you.

ABF classes—Our Adult Bible Study classes are offered during both the 9am and 10:30am hours on Sunday mornings.  Some groups are geared toward a specific demographic like young adults, men, or young married couples, while others are open to a wide range of people, but all are focused on digging deeper into God’s Word.

Adult Forum electives—On Sunday nights, from 6-7:30pm, we offer a variety of electives to choose from that change on a regular basis.  Past electives have included Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, a Love and Respect series for couples, beginners Spanish, Fresh Start for the Suddenly Single, parenting classes, and many, many more.

Ministry Teams—We have over 20 ministry teams and many sub-teams that offer opportunities to use your talents for God by serving others inside and outside the church.  So whether you want to teach children, manicure the grounds, run a camera, disciple teens, go on a missions trip, or serve breakfast to the homeless, there is a place for you on one of our ministry teams.
