Small Groups
Hebrews 6:1 says, “Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity…” The best opportunity for spiritual growth is through small groups. Corporate worship and big events where we are all together in a large group setting are important and needed, but it is in small groups that you experience deeper relationships, accountability, spiritual growth, and love through meeting the needs of others you get to know. We need each other for these things and we need them to pull us closer to God and one another.
We offer a variety of small groups to be involved in. We invite you to plug into any or all of these groups!
ABF classes
We offer several Adult Bible Fellowship classes on Sunday mornings during both worship hours (9am and 10:30am). Some cater to a specific age (Young Adults, Young Marrieds, Boomers), or gender (Men’s ABF), and some are open to anyone, but all our ABF classes are focused on helping you to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and are led by excellent teachers.
FISH groups
FISH stands for Fellowship In Someone’s Home. Our FISH groups are our home-based small groups that meet during the week (usually Wednesday nights) for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and sometimes service opportunities. Our FISH groups meet at homes in many different towns and a couple meet here at the church as well. Some are kid friendly, some are adult only, and some are for a specific age group, like young adults. If you want to start building relationships with other families, this is a great place to start.
Forum electives
The Forum offers several electives on Sunday nights for adults from 6-7:30pm (which coincides with our children and teen programming). These electives change on a regular basis, but always offer a variety of growth opportunities like Men’s/Women’s studies, Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, parenting classes, fitness classes, Hispanic Bible studies, etc. Occasionally we bring everyone together for special programs as well like concerts, special speakers, and other events.
N2 groups
N2 groups are groups that are based on what you’re “into”. There are many different types of N2 groups depending on what brings people together. There is a Motorcycle Ministry, a GriefShare group, a church softball team, AA groups, a fantasy sports league, and many more.
Other small groups
Besides the categories listed above, there are other small groups that meet for different reasons. We have two Women’s Bible studies that meet on Tuesday mornings and Tuesday evenings, a Men’s Bible study that meets on Wednesday nights, and other groups that form at various times. There is a place for everyone, so find a small group where you can get to know others and be known. You’ll be glad you put in the effort.
