What is Switch Student Ministry?

It is a vital part of our church mission here at Northwest to reach our community so that they can discover discover who they were meant to be in Christ. The name Switch stands for the different transitions 6th to 12th-grade students experience in their lives during these years and the goals we'd like them to achieve throughout that time. Those transitions include:

  • Pre-teens becoming teens and teens becoming young adults
  • Faith becoming their own and not based on their parents' faith
  • Switching their mindset to a renewed mind for Christ
  • Discovering the joy of repentance and the sanctified life

The goal of this ministry is to create an environment where the Holy Spirit can work in their lives, equipping them through God’s word, prayer, worship, service, and teaching to make spirit-lead decisions and grow to be the person Christ died for them to be.

When We Meet

6-8:30pm All Students

This is the primary gathering for Switch! All middle and high school students are invited each Sunday evening at 6:00 in the Student Center for their own time of worship, relevant teaching, and encouraging Community Groups. With plenty of time to hang out, a free dinner, and lots of laughs guaranteed, your student will not want to miss it!

11am Middle School

All middle school students are invited Sunday mornings at 11am in the Student Center for a time of worship, games, and Bible study. We dive into the bible and unpack it all together as a group. This is a great way for our middle school students to connect with each other!

6-8:30pm High School

All high school students are invited Tuesday evenings in the Student Center for a time of dinner, games, Bible study. Our amazing sponsors lead  a study tailored just for them followed by a discussion to unpack it all. This is a great way for High School students to experience small groups and connect with other students at our church in a more in-depth way!
